We invite you to participate in an exciting upcoming conference focused on the biology of the renin angiotensin system. The 2008 Angiotensin Gordon Conference brings together talented scientists from diverse disciplines to explore all aspects of angiotensin research. A number of recent advances in the renin angiotensin field, such as the discovery of the renin receptor and the growing importance of ACE2, make this conference particularly timely. In addition, new clinical trials and animal studies clearly link the renin angiotensin system to the progression of diabetes and cancer, as well as cardiovascular and renal disease, topics that will be covered fully during the conference.

The planned sessions maintain our tradition of exploring advances in molecular mechanisms, translational studies in animals, and application to human disease. We have assembled an outstanding series of expert speakers and new investigators who will participate in a series of presentations and discussions in each of these areas. The meeting will afford an opportunity to interact with international leaders in angiotensin research and to discover the most exciting new advances in all aspects of the renin angiotensin system. Participants are invited to present their own work during the poster session or as invited talks chosen from submitted abstracts.
