Appel d’offres 2008
L’AIRG-France lance un appel d’offres unique sur le thème « Maladies rénales génétiques » auprès des équipes de recherche et de soins en francophonie. Cette action vise à susciter ou à soutenir des recherches de haut niveau pour le diagnostic, l’épidémiologie, et la thérapeutique des maladies rénales héréditaires.
L’appel d’offres dispose d’un budget de 60 000 euros pour financer en 2008 des projets innovants et ciblés. Deux ou trois projets seront financés, selon la qualité des dossiers déposés. Dans le cadre de la thématique mentionnée, le jury désigné par l’AIRG-France étudiera tout projet de recherche dans le domaine des maladies rénales héréditaires".
Les projets émaneront d’équipes de recherche travaillant dans un laboratoire public francophone. Le coordonateur du projet sera un chercheur statutaire ou hospitalo-universitaire. Celui-ci peut impliquer plusieurs équipes collaboratrices, sous sa responsabilité.
La demande de financement peut atteindre 30 000 euros et pourra concerner équipement, fonctionnement ou personnel. Le montant définitif du financement alloué (20 000 ou 30 000 euros) tiendra compte des ressources de l’équipe, du nombre et de la qualité des projets examinés par le Jury.
Le dossier complet (7 exemplaires du projet) doit être adressé pour le 5 mai 2008 à la Présidente de l’AIRG-France à l’adresse suivante :

Une des missions de l’Agence de la biomédecine est la promotion de la recherche médicale et scientifique dans ses domaines de compétence (Article L. 1418-1-3° du code de la santé publique). Dans ce but, le budget voté par le conseil d’administration intègre des crédits spécifiquement destinés au financement d’études et de projets de recherche.
Concernant l’appel d’offres de l’année 2008, l’Agence de la biomédecine a choisi les thèmes suivants :
Thème de recherche : organes, tissus, cellules
- Etudes en sciences humaines, économiques et sociales, ainsi qu’en santé publique portant notamment sur les réflexions éthiques que font surgir les enjeux nouveaux des activités de prélèvement et de greffe;
- Amélioration des prélèvements, évaluation et amélioration de la sécurité et de la qualité des greffons, modalités de conservation ;
- Immunologie de la transplantation
- Pharmacologie et greffe;
- Santé publique, épidémiologie, insuffisance terminale d’organes, besoin et offre de soins ;
- Ingénierie cellulaire et tissulaire comme alternative à l’allogreffe.

NEW PROJECT
ERA-EDTA LONG-TERM FELLOWSHIPS
The purpose of the ERA-EDTA Fellowship Programme is to support basic and clinical research in the field of Nephrology in Europe, mainly among young investigators.
The ERA-EDTA Fellowship Programme will facilitate scientific exchange and collaboration between European Research Institutions.

Long-Term Fellowships are awarded for prolonged visits (12 to 24 months) and are intended for advanced training through research.
The Fellowships provide the travel costs and a stipend for the fellow and his/her family, up to a maximum of EURO 36.000 a year.

ERA-EDTA SHORT-TERM FELLOWSHIPS
Short-term Fellowships are established to advance kidney research by helping basic and clinical investigators to visit another institution with a view to applying a technique not available in the home institution or to promote a research collaboration between two institutions.
Short-term Fellowships are intended for visits of 1 week up to 3 months duration.

NATIONAL SOCIETY OF NEPHROLOGY GRANT
RULES AND REGULATIONS
WHAT IT IS
The ERA-EDTA Grant that is given to each European National Society consists in three years free ERA-EDTA membership (including free access to NDT Online) plus one free Congress Registration to the annual ERA-EDTA Congress.
WHO DOES THE SELECTION
The National Society of Nephrology will decide who will receive this Grant, on the basis of the best abstract submitted to the Congress, with the only provision that the winner must not be older than 40 years of age.
HOW IS IT GIVEN
The ERA-EDTA will provide a diploma to be given by the National Society to the Grant Winner.
WHEN IS IT GIVEN
It should be given during the annual National Congress. ERA-EDTA requires that this Grant be adequately advertised. The ERA-EDTA logo (provided by ERA-EDTA) should appear in the Final Programme (both print and on-line version, if available) next to the name of the winner of this Grant. This Grant should be presented in the preliminary programme as well. A special slide (provided by ERA-EDTA) with the ERA-EDTA logo should be presented during the session in which the Diploma (prepared by ERA-EDTA) is given to the winner of the Grant.
HOW TO REQUEST/RECEIVE IT
In order to receive this Grant the specific “National Congress Grant Application Form” must be filled in by the Local Congress Oranizers on behalf of the National Society of Nephrology, and the Grant Winner, and sent to the appropriate address (see below) no later than one month before the beginning of the National Congress.
